Course Information
The UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative enables services to better support families with feeding and developing close and loving relationships so that all babies get the best possible start in life.
The programme supports maternity, neonatal, health visiting and children’s centre services to transform their care and works with universities to ensure that newly qualified midwives and health visitors have the strong foundation of knowledge needed to support families.
Learning Outcomes
Baby Friendly courses support health professionals involved in the care of mothers and babies to develop the skills and knowledge required to implement best practice based on latest evidence-based research.
Refresher
Half day annual updates for all staff following 2-day BFI training – this maybe delivered virtually
