Course Information
This training will update on NICE and national guidance and will cover diabetes prevention, types of diabetes, symptoms, treatments including insulin and complications of diabetes.
The training is provided by the Specialist Diabetes Team from Wigan Wrightington and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust
Learning Outcomes
- Improved knowledge on NICE guidance in relation to diabetes
- Update on national guidance in relation to diabetes
- Improved knowledge on priorities and interventions for diabetes prevention
- Improved knowledge about the different types of diabetes, diabetes symptoms and treatments including insulin.
- Improved knowledge about the complications of diabetes and how to support patients/service users to prevent complications
Target Audience
All professionally unregistered nurses and AHPs in all divisions and teams.
