This practical computer drop-in session is to support the development of easy read material across the Whalley site.
Learning Outcomes
Staff will be supported to gain confidence in producing easy read material in line with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists 5 Good Communication Standards and the NHS Accessible Information Standard.
The aims
of this course are for learners to:
* Gain an understanding of what
accessible information is and
why we use in within our service.
* Learn the key points of making
accessible information.
* Recognise good and bad examples.
* Have an understanding of the symbol software and
the easy read dictionary that we use at Mersey Care Whalley.
Target Audience
Suitable for all staff working across the Whalley site, particularly staff who work directly with service users.
