Course Information
In this module we look at the definition of palliative care, end of life care & the dying phase. We will also discuss the DH 5 priorities for the care of the dying patient and the role of the DN in providing this care.
We will also look at the 4 domains of holistic assessment of the palliative patient. This includes:
• Physical assessment
• Psychological assessment
• Social assessment
• Spiritual assessment
