Course Information
​Attendees will become familiar with the correct food handling practices as it relates to their role within Mersey Care, including the role of allergens. Candidates will need to complete the assessment at the end of the module successfully to complete this assessment
Learning Outcomes
Be aware of the acts and regulations that are associated with food safety
  • Understand the different types of hazards associated with food safety
  • Know how to break the food poisoning chain
  • Explain the personal hygiene considerations required when handling food
  • Handle and store food appropriately
