Course Information
All adults without level 2 or equivalent Maths and English can access fully funded courses through their local college or Adult Learning Service. Mersey Care has a contract with Hugh Baird College and staff who wish to undertake their Functional Skills courses can apply using the CPD apply system. The classes are held remotely via Microsoft Teams. There are regular intakes planned. There is no requirement for any specific prior learning. The college will undertake an initial assessment to assess you and identify any support needs. The college will decide your starting point and offer you a learning plan to help you achieve your desired level. Staff who wish to undertake higher apprenticeship will need to evidence prior achievement of Maths and English at Level 2. If you don’t have your certificates it is possible to pay for copies. If you can’t provide evidence you may be prevented from undertaking the apprenticeship course. Our Apprenticeship Team can offer advice and guidance regarding this. Apprenticehsips@merseycare.nhs.uk
