To provide staff with the knowledge and expertise to enable staff to initiate care for patients presenting as a consequence of an incident where a person or persons has been contaminated with or by a known or unknown substance likely to be hazardous to health, at the same time, protecting staff, existing patients and properly from secondary contamination
