Learning Outcomes
  • To gain an understanding father/male carer’s role in relation in causing Non -Accidental Injury for children under 1 year old and how well the Safeguarding System understands this
  • Have an overview of the findings/ themes from the ‘Review’
  • To gain an understanding of how safeguarding system can be more effective at engaging, assessing, and planning for and with men in the protection of children (or those for whom they have a parenting responsibility).
  • Have an overview of the Four- Tiered Model and impact of this on Practice 
  • Have an overview and understanding of the recommendations from the ‘Review
  • Have a clear understanding of your roles and responsibilities as when engaging and supporting father’s/ Step- Father’s/ Carers within a Universal Service offer
