Course Information
This is a blended learning course, where the candidates will be given access to E-Learning prior to attending the face-to-face session. Details of how to access the E-Learning will be emailed to each candidate prior to the course date. Candidates must complete the pre-course modules and MCQ before attending the course. Your course instructor may not allow you to attend the course if you have not completed the E-Learning.
The candidates will be sent the course manual and login details email approximately two weeks before the course date. It is important that you read and assimilate the information in this manual before attending the course.
Learning Outcomes
- Identify the causes and promote the prevention of cardiopulmonary
arrest.
- Recognise and treat the deteriorating patient using the ABCDE
approach.
- Undertake the skills of quality CPR and defibrillation (manual
and/or AED) and simple airway procedures.
- Utilise non-technical skills to facilitate initial leadership and
effective team membership.

“In accordance with Resuscitation Council UK course
regulations, ILS and PILS certificates are valid for 12 months and there is no
grace period following expiry. Candidates must therefore hold a valid ILS and
PILS certificate at the time of attending a recertification course. Candidates
whose certificates have expired prior to the course date are not eligible for
recertification and will be required to undertake the full ILS and/or PILS
course”
