Learning Outcomes
By the end of the supervisor workshop all participants
will have an understanding of / that:
1. It is the role of all qualified nurses to
support learners and colleagues learning.
2. The seven areas of proficiency student
nurses now must achieve and demonstrate
3. Feedback and feedback methods as a
practice supervisor and assessor.
4. How to record observations on student conduct, proficiency and achievements
that will inform assessment; an understanding of the students supervision and
assessment record.
5. What constitutes effective supervision;
role modelling safe and effective practice.
6.The importance of escalating concerns and
the supporting framework.
7. Different learning styles and coaching
methods.
8. Students’ proficiencies and programme requirements.
