Course Information
The Restorative Just Learning Culture one-day programme has been reviewed to ensure that it is meeting the needs of all our staff, patients and the wider community in creating a culture of inclusion and belonging with zero acceptance of racism, discrimination and unacceptable behaviours.
This revised Trust Wide one day programme focuses on supporting ALL Mersey Care colleagues to foster a culture for belonging in their team through inclusive, restorative, just and learning culture practices.
Learning Outcomes
- To understand what we mean by a culture of ‘Belonging in the NHS’ and how inclusive, restorative, just and learning, culture practices contribute to this
- To become aware of Mersey Care’s RJLC and Anti-racism journey so far and its benefits for staff, patients/service users and the organisation
- To recognise psychological safety as a key corner stone for belonging and how we can contribute to increasing psychological safety in our teams
- To understand the impact of civility and respect when creating a sense of belonging
- To understand the difference between restorative and retributive just processes when things do not go the way we planned or intended them to
- To understand the links and importance of RJLC for patient safety
- To gain greater awareness of how we can support the Trust’s Anti-racism perfect care goal and work towards becoming intentionally anti-racist.
