Learning Outcomes
Develop and understanding of the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative and its Context in UK healthcare.
Develop an understanding of the UNICEF Baby Friendly Community Standards.
Develop and understanding of the maternal, neonatal and societal benefits of breastfeeding.
Develop skills to enable staff to support women to achieve their breastfeeding goals.
Understand how to support parents who choose to formula fed their baby to do so safely.
Develop and understanding of the importance of the International code of marketing of breastmilk substitutes and the importance of applying this to practice.
