Course Information
The purpose of this training is to equip interview panels with skills and techniques to ensure that we recruit the right people with the right skills whose values, behaviours and attitudes align with those of the Trust.
Learning Outcomes

The training session includes the following:

  • The importance of selecting for values, behaviours and attitudes
  • The interview process (including questions and assessment forms)
  • Techniques to use during the interview to understand candidates values, behaviours and attitudes
  • Using values based interviewing to increase safeguarding
  • Using Trust values to select the right candidate
  • Unconscious bias and how this impacts recruitment decisions
  • Challenging own and others bias to make better, fairer decisions
