To replace the face to face Safeguarding training to enable this to be delivered virtually.
Learning Outcomes
  • Have a basic knowledge and an understanding of child maltreatment.
  • To be able to identify child abuse/maltreatment and neglect.
  • Have an overview of legislation and knowledge of Trust and Local Safeguarding Children Partnership (LSCP) policy and procedures.
  • Know how to access appropriate advice and support.
  • Take appropriate actions when you are concerned about child abuse.
  • Understand your individual responsibility to update and maintain your knowledge and skills in this subject.

Health Visitors, School Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses and Walk in Centre Staff. All other staff who may have contact with children.
